Finding Aids
Here is a sample of finding aids to the collections I have processed.
Schlesinger Library
- Papers of Corita Kent, 1936-1992 (inclusive), 1955-1986 (bulk)
- The papers of graphic artist Corita (1918-1986) contain correspondence, clippings, ephemera, posters, cards, broadsides, etc., from 1936 through 1992. Born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Corita spent her formative years as Frances Elizabeth Kent. In 1936 she joined the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Los Angeles taking the name Sister Mary Corita. Later in the mid-1950s she began teaching art at the Immaculate Heart College in Hollywood, California. Corita surrendered her vows and left the order in 1968 and moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to dedicate herself to her art full-time. The collection includes examples of Corita's signature artistic style of combining handwritten quotes from contemporary intellectuals with brightly colored graphic images, as well as materials documenting her commission work, including the United States Postal Service 22-cent Love Stamp and the Boston Gas rainbow tank.

University at Buffalo
At the University at Buffalo, I worked on both the EAD and the conversion into html for these two finding aids. I also was able to create corresponding online exhibits.
