While at the University at Buffalo I created a couple of guides to standardize processing procedures in the University Archives.

Finding aid template
(developed 2003)

This is a template created to standardize the finding aids structure. The various section are based on EAD elements making it easy to convert to XML. This finding aid template, developed with my co-worker Karen Morse, was been widely distributed in the Western New York region.

Student Processing Checklist
(developed 2004)

This is a checklist of processing procedures that I developed to help my student assistants learn the various steps in archival processing. It not only has the various steps, but also specific questions to keep in mind while going through a collection of archival records. This document has also been copied and distributed.
